2020 Emmys Show Moments
The 2020 Emmy Awards went down on Sept. 20, 2020. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the show live from the Staples Center. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony took place largely from home. Many of the winners accepted from their homes and tuned in via Zoom. Some of the winners were given their Emmys by people dressed in hazmat suits, while other celebs stopped by the Staples Center to help be a part of the show. Jennifer Aniston was on hand at the Staples Center to help Jimmy present the very first award of the night: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She wowed in a simple but sexy black dress. Jason Bateman also appeared during Jimmy’s opening monologue. Tracee Ellis Ross stunned in a golden gown when she presented an award in person. During the Sept. 20, 2020 event, the ‘black-ish’ star appeared in-person during the ceremony to have some funny banter with host Jimmy Kimmel. She also wore a gown that out-shown the gold statuettes, proving that she’s not only hilarious, but also glamorous!
Tyler Perry
Tyler Perry held back tears as he became the first individual to receive the Emmys Governors Award since 2014. He was presented the award by Oprah Winfrey during the 2020 ceremony.
