‘9-1-1’ is getting a spinoff and heading to Texas. ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ will premiere Jan. 19 on FOX. The series stars Rob Lowe as Owen Strand, a longtime New York City firefighter who was the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had to rebuild his station. When a firehouse in Austin experiences a devastating tragedy, Owen and his troubled firefighter son, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), move to Texas to help rebuild the firehouse. Once he gets to Texas, Owen meets the brilliant chief paramedic Michelle Blake (Liv Tyler) and police officer Carlos Reyes (Rafael Silva). ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ also stars Natacha Karam as firefighter Marjan Marwani, Brian Michael Smith as firefighter Paul Strickland, Julian Works as rookie firefighter Mateo Chavez, Jim Parrack as Judd Ryder, the sole survivor of the Austin firehouse, and Sierra McClain as his wife, Grace, who is a 9-1-1 call center operator.
