Allison Janney, born Nov. 19, 1959, is an American Oscar-winning actress. Allison is an accomplished performer of both stage and screen. One of her best-known roles from the early years of her career is C.J. Cregg on the acclaimed series ‘The West Wing,’ which she appeared in for over 150 episodes.
Following ‘The West Wing,’ Allison appeared in films like ‘Juno,’ ‘Hairspray,’ ‘Away We Go,’ ‘The Help,’ the TV series ‘Mom’ and many more. By 2017, Allison received incredible acclaim for her work as LaVona in the film ‘I,Tonya,’ where she played Tonya Harding’s mother opposite Margot Robbie. She went on to win her very first Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.
