America’s Got Talent season 13 was filled with incredible talent! The show began broadcasting in the United States during 2018, from May 29 to September 19 on NBC. The guest judges for Judge Cuts this season included Ken Jeong, Olivia Munn, Martina McBride, and Chris Hardwick, and the judges panel remained the same as previous seasons, with Mel B, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell on the panel. Open auditions were held in late 2017, within Orlando, Cincinnati, Savannah, Milwaukee, Houston, Las Vegas, New York City, Nashville, and Los Angeles and 36 acts secured a place in the in the live quarter-finals.
This season, the judges had a great array of their own Golden Buzzers. Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer in auditions was singer Courtney Hadwin, who wowed with her rendition of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle.” Mandel compared her to Janis Joplin and finished the show as a finalist, losing the top prize to magician Shin Lim.
