‘American Idol’ is officially BACK for its 17th season, and its second season since it was rebooted and moved from FOX to ABC. For the second season in a row, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry are back as judges, with Ryan Seacrest keeping his spot as host. Some of the most talented young singers in the world auditioned for season 17, and the judges had the all-important task of narrowing it down week after week. The three judges actually chose which contesants will be moving on all the way until the Top 14, which came after intense auditions, followed by Hollywood Week, then the Showcase Round and Top 20. Beginning with the Top 14, the vote will be in America’s hand until just one winner is chosen! Season 17 of ‘American Idol’ premiered on March 11 and will run until May 19, which will feature a live finale that viewers will NOT want to miss.
