Ariana and Jai’s relationship is officially over, according to Us Weekly. “It has not been an easy few months,” a source tells the mag.

Not only is Ariana’s skyrocketing singing career keeping her super busy, but she is also dealing with the devastating loss of her beloved grandpa.

A source close to the “Problem” singer reveals EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com why things didn’t work out for this young couple. “Jai’s too immature for her,” our source spills. “He was too self-involved also and yes, she’s a total workhorse. All she wants to do is make meaningful music, focus also on family and helping her mom and Nona get through her grandpa’s death.”

Young love is hard, especially when you’re in the spotlight! We hope Ariana and Jai can work things out and remain friends.

Ariana Grande’s Mysterious ‘Love’ Message — About Jai Breakup?

Ariana also posted a mysterious message about love on Twitter, in which she seems to be calling Jai out for breaking her heart. Here’s her tweet:

You learn a lot about love, life & the ppl around you during a time of crisis. July was painful for many reasons but of all the personal loss I suffered last month, the loss of my grandfather, a true gentleman, was the only one that truly mattered. I thank my loves for being so in tune to what is good and right for me and my heart… I hope you will surround yourselves with people who will be there for you thru the bad times, not just the good. I thank everybody who was here for me when I needed them as the ones who weren’t really broke my heart. august is about to be a beautiful beautiful month. looking forward to all the good coming up… it’s the only thing we should focus on.

In the midst of their reported breakup going public on Aug. 4, Jai also tweeted a simple-but-telling message. “No war let’s love,” he posted.
