“Ariana wants to do movies, she wants to do a better-critiqued version of a film that would loosely follow her career but make it more acclaimed than panned. She doesn’t want it to be Crossroads or Glitter,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Wow, it seems like Ariana is beyond serious about exercising her acting chops — good for her! But hey, she’s not being picky about what starring role she’d love to take on. If it were up to her, she’d be just fine playing a tough superhero too.
“She also would love to do a superhero movie, she knows Wonder Woman has been taken but she would love to be a female heroine, even Lara Croft would be awesome to do in her eyes,” our insider adds. That’s not a bad idea, Ariana. We can actually totally see the celeb rocking the role of Lara, the protagonist in the video game franchise Tomb Raider. Lara has previously been played by the likes of Angelina Jolie, 40, so Ariana would definitely have big shoes to fill though.

But at the same time, we think Ariana could totally KILL a heroic role. Let’s not forget about her epic Saturday Night Live performances when she hosted the show on March 12. We don’t think we were alone when getting totally caught off guard by Ariana’s skills. Who knew? The girl can REALLY act! And of course Scream Queens was also a major success. Ariana was hilarious in her role as Chanel #2.
But while we wish her the best in her future film endeavors, we hope this doesn’t mean the star will be hanging up her microphone anytime soon. Because let’s be real, that voice of hers is legendary!
