‘Batwoman’ Cast Exclusive Portraits
‘Batwoman’ stars Rachel Skarsten and Meagan Tandy stopped by HollywoodLife’s 2019 NYCC Portrait Studio. The new CW series premiere Oct. 6. ‘Batwoman’ begins three years after the mysterious disappearance Batman. Gotham is a city in despair. Without the Caped Crusader, the Gotham City Police Department was overrun and outgunned by criminal gangs. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kate (Ruby Rose) will have to become what her father loathes, a dark knight vigilante, soaring through the streets of Gotham as Batwoman. Rachel plays Alice, who is the head of a criminal gang. She also happens to be Kate’s sister, Beth, who was presumed dead after a car accident years ago. The big reveal was made at the end of the series premiere. Meagan plays Sophie, Kate’s former love. The show will air Sundays at 8 p.m. on The CW. Rachel Skarsten On The Role Of Alice
Rachel talked with HollywoodLife and talked about where Alice’s journey is headed after the big reveal: ‘I think Alice’s ultimate desire is driven by love, albeit perverse love at this point. I think her underlying motivation is always her love of Kate and her desire to be reunited with her, in whatever capacity or what that looks like for Alice.’
Meagan Tandy Plays Sophie On ‘Batwoman’
Sophie was kidnapped by Alice in the premiere but Kate saved her. At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Sophie is now MARRIED.

Rachel opened up about her transformations on ‘Reign’ and ‘Batwoman.’ She told HL: ‘I actually quite prefer to chameleon into different roles. I always find it funny when actors get very tied to a hairstyle or hair color. I’ve never felt that way. I always wanted to dye my hair a different color, chop it all off, wear weird makeup, because that’s part of our job.’

Rachel says that Alice is ‘incredibly angry’ at her father, Jacob, and ‘wants a particular type of vengeance.’ When it comes to Kate and Alice, Rachel admits they’re ‘entwined with one another. So it’s almost this ultimate battle of good and evil to see which one will win.’
