As Beyonce and Jay Z made their way out of the SVA Theatre in NYC on Aug. 22, a guy in a camouflage shirt and black bucket hat managed to get right next to Bey, 34, and attempted to take a selfie with her. But Jay was quick to notice that the man wasn’t part of their posse, and the 46-year-old rapper immediately pushed the stranger out of the way…with no mercy!
Jay Z shoved the man so hard that he flew back behind the car door that was open next to them, allowing Beyonce’s actual bodyguard to do the rest of the shooing. With the way Jay protected Beyonce, though, he could practically be his wife’s bodyguard himself!
Perhaps Jay feels a duty to keep his wife safe because of all the divorce rumors they’ve faced lately. Protecting someone is certainly a way to show you love them! Jay was in hot water with Beyonce and her loyal Beyhive after she seemingly called him out for cheating with “Becky with the good hair” in “Sorry.” Then again, the songwriter for “Sorry” insinuated that lyric actually has no meaning, so Jay’s bodyguard antics could have just been an act of love!

Plus, Jay Z and Beyonce have been spotted together quite a bit since the cheating and divorce drama ensued, so they appear to be doing just fine these days. And especially since Jay seems to be super protective of his wife, how could they not be in love?!
