Bobby Shmurda
Bobby Shmurda, born August 4, 1994, is an American rapper and songwriter. Bobby rose to fame in 2014 after signing with Epic Records once his song ‘Hot Ni**a’ peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, the rapper’s debut EP — ‘Shmurda She Wrote’ — was released in November 2014.
Unfortunately, Bobby’s life took a sharp turn when he was arrested in December 2014 when he was arrested by the NYPD. He was charged with conspiracy to murder, possession of weapons, and reckless endangerment. In 2016, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison, which was eventually reduced to five. He is expected to be released in December 2020.
