Cannes Film Festival was back and better than ever this year, with more celebs and more screenings than before. The festival was in full gear after a quiet 2021 and a completely cancelled 2020 festival. Film fans and celebrities were all eager to get on the red carpet during the opening ceremony on May 17, 2022, which also included a screening of the film ‘Final Cut’.
21 films competed for the festival’s top prize, the Palme d’Or, which was awarded to the South Korean social satire ‘Traingle Of Sadness’. Dozens more screened in the festival’s other categories, and several more high-profile projects like Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Elvis’, appeared out of competition.
The festival, which lasted for 11 days, was certainly full of glamour. Here, Eva Longoria stuns as she arrives for the opening festivities. She wore all black and had her hair in a cute ponytail.
