Taylor Swift attends the world premiere of ‘Cats’ at Alice Tully Hall, in New York on Dec. 16, 2019. She wore a red strapless floral Oscar de la Renta gown and matching red strappy shoes. She also donned her signature red lipstick.
The ‘Cats’ film is the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s popular musical of the same name, which was originally released in 1981. It is based on the 1939 poetry collection ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’ by T.S. Eliot and tells the story of a tribe of cats known as ‘the Jellicles’ and the night they decide which cats will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.
In the film version of the musical, there are a lot of famililar faces that make up the cast, including James Corden as Bustopher Jones, Judi Dench as Old Deuteronomy, Jason Derulo as Rum Tum Tugger, Idris Elba as Macavity, Jennifer Hudson as Grizabella, Ian McKellen as Gus the Theatre Cat, and Taylor Swift as Bombalurina.
