Not every relationship can last forever. Unfortunately, couples do occasionally run their course, and it’s time to go their separate ways. It can even be true for celebrities. In 2024, a few celebrities did reveal that their marriages and other long-term relationships were coming to an end.
At the very start of the year, Backstreet Boys vocalist A.J. McLean revealed that he and his wife of 12 years Rochelle Deanna were splitting. A few other stars have announced their splits as the year has continued. From long-term marriages, like Jason Isbell and his wife Amanda Shires to short-term boyfriend-girlfriend scenarios like Landon Barker and Charli D’Amelio, there have been a few splits.

The Backstreet Boys singer and his wife of 12 years, who share daughters Elliott and Lyric, announced their split on January 1.
“As you all know we have been separated for over a year now,” the pair wrote in a joint statement on Instagram. “While we have hoped for reconciliation we have decided to officially end our marriage. It is with deep love and respect that we have made this decision.”
Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo
The Bachelor Nation couple called it quits after four years of marriage. Bryan confirmed the pair’s split on January 2 via Instagram. According to Page Six, he cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup and is seeking spousal support.
Lisa Bonet & Jason Momoa
Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa announced their split in 2022, however, she did not officially file for divorce until January 2024. In docs obtained by PEOPLE, the High Fidelity star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the main reason for the split.
Additionally, Lisa reportedly filed for “joint child custody” of their two children including their daughter Lola (b. 2007) and their son, Nakoa-Wolf (b. 2008). She is asking for neither party to have spousal support. Lisa and Jason were married in 2017, however, they began dating in 2005.
Bobbi Althoff
Bobbi Althoff revealed that she and her husband Cory were getting a divorce in an Instagram post on February 7.
“As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife. Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father & I am so lucky to be able to coparent with such an incredible father and person. While our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him,” she said.
Jason Isbell & Amanda Shires
Jason Isbell reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Amanda Shires after over a decade of marriage in December 2023, according to People. The news of the pair’s divorce didn’t surface until February 2024.
Landon Barker & Charli D’Amelio
Landon Barker revealed that he and Charli D’Amelio had split after nearly two years together in an Instagram Story. “Hey everyone, I would like to let you guys know that Charli and I are no longer together,” he wrote. “We broke up to focus on ourselves. We are still friends and have so much love for each other.”
Princess Love & Ray J
Princess Love revealed that she and Ray J have split up yet again in an Instagram post on Monday, February 26. “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part way,” she wrote.
Ellie Goulding & Caspar Jopling
Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling both revealed that they had quietly separated in social media posts in February. The pair had been married for four years.
Porsha Williams & Simon Guobadia
Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia reportedly filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage in February. Porsha released a brief statement thanking fans for support and prayers, but further details were not revealed.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard confirmed that she and her estranged husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, had separated three months after her release from prison.

According to multiple outlets, Kim and Odell amicably split after dating for less than a year.
