Ukraine has been under attack as Russia attempts to invade under the control of Vladimir Putin. Here are pics of celebrities doing what they can to advocate for Ukraine whether it’s by wearing the nation’s colors or fighting on the frontlines.

Ukraine has been under fire as Russia attempts to invade the country under the regime of Vladimir Putin. Many celebrities and political figures have spoken out against the tragic events going down in Ukraine. For instance, First Lady Jill Biden wore a sunflower mask while attending a celebration to mark Black History Month, in the White House in Washington, DC. The sunflower is a very important symbol to the cause as it’s Ukraine’s national flower. She also issued a tweet stating that she and President Joe Biden were praying for the citizens of Ukraine.
Other celebs have spoken out in their own ways by donning the Ukrainian flag, donating to the cause or even putting themselves on the frontlines. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is leading by example by fighting for his country firsthand. Other stars like ‘Dancing With The Stars’ pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy have been arrested in their attempts to fight for their country. First Lady Jill Biden has been an outspoken advocate for Ukraine amid the attacks. She has sported a face mask with a sunflower, the country’s flower, on many occasions.

Demi Lovato announced a fundraiser in collaboration with Choose Love in support of Ukraine to provide humanitarian aid to the 10 million+ refugees fleeing and still in the country. The singer showed their immense passion for the cause, that they even got a new tattoo by a Ukrainian artist to commemorate it that reads ‘Choose Love.’ In their Instagram post, Demi wrote, “Choose Love – always. I’m inspired by the work @chooselove and their partners are doing to support refugees around the world, including those fleeing Ukraine.
