Chris Soules Promoting ‘The Bachelor’ on ‘Good Morning America’
Christopher Douglas Soules, born on November 6, 1981 is an American farmer and reality star from Arlington, Iowa. He rose to fame as a fan favorite as a contestant on ABC’s 10th season of ‘The Bachelorette’, where he competed for Andi Dorfman’s heart. Chris went on to place third in the reality competition show, and was later honored with the role of ‘The Bachelor’ for the franchise’s 19th season. Chris proposed to Whitney Bischoff at his family’s barn in ‘The Bachelor’ finale. The couple announced that they had called off their engagement on May 28, 2015. Chris also competed on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (season 19) in 2015. He placed 5th. In September, 2015, he appeared on Food Network’s, ‘Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition’. In April 2017, Chris was arrested and charged with a class D felony for leaving the scene of a deadly accident that killed a 66-year-old man, Kenny Mosher, of Aurora, Iowa. Mosher was driving a farm tractor when Chris rear-ended him on the night of April 24 [2017]. Chris avoided trial when he pleaded guilty in 2018 to the reduced charge of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident — an aggravated misdemeanor. Chris Soules’ Court Documents
In lieu of spending time behind bars, Chris Soules agreed to a two-year suspended prison sentence in these court documents filed on Aug. 23, 2019. The Bachelor alum had pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a personal injury accident in 2018, after Chris rear-ended the farm tractor driven by a 66-year-old man, Kenny Mosher, who died during the incident on April 24, 2017.
Chris Soules Is Sentenced To Two Years Of Probation
As seen in these court documents filed on Aug. 23, 2019, Chris Soules “entered a conditional plea of guilty” to “leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury” in connection to the fatal car crash that killed a 66-year-old man, Kenny Mosher, in Iowa on April 24, 2017. The documents also state that this conditional plea agreement let the ABC star request a “suspended sentence at sentencing,” which he was granted.
Chris Soules Ordered To Pay Mininum Fine Of $625
In addition to probation, Chris Soules was ordered to pay a fine of a mininum of $625. The documents also note that there is an “applicable 35% surcharge.”
