‘Clemency’
‘Clemency’ is a critically-acclaimed film that will be released in theaters on Dec. 27. The synopsis for the film reads: ‘Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden, Bernadine Williams. The emotional wedge in her marriage grows. Memories of a recently botched execution plague her daily. As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.’ Oscar nominee Alfre Woodard stars as Bernadine and Aldis Hodge plays Anthony Woods, the man Bernadine encounters on death row. The movie also features Wendell Pierce, Richard Schiff, Danielle Brooks, Michael O’Neill, Richard Gunn, Vernee Watson, Dennis Haskins, LaMonica Garrett, and Michelle C.
