The day before Charlie opened up about his condition on Today, Denise looked calm, cool, and collected during a coffee run just after the initial reports broke that Charlie was HIV positive. Donning casual attire in jeans, a plaid shirt, sweater boots, and a loose braid, Denise even managed to crack a smile as Charlie’s HIV news was making headlines. While Denise gave no initial thoughts after Charlie made his official announcement, her first physical reaction to the shocking reports were almost suggested that maybe she isn’t quite as affected as some of Charlie’s other exes!

Perhaps Denise, who officially divorced Charlie in November 2006, wasn’t super upset because it wasn’t a shock to her. A source told Access Hollywood that she has known about his condition for a “number of years”! Plus, the insider added that the two haven’t been intimate since they split, and that Charlie supposedly didn’t contract the disease until after their divorce was finalized. Most importantly, the source mentioned that Denise and their daughters Sam, 11, and Lola, 10, have not been infected with the disease. No wonder Denise didn’t seem fazed!
Some of Charlie’s exes weren’t so nonchalant about his announcement, though. Four women — including his ex-wife Brooke Mueller and ex-fiance Scottine Ross — cursed Charlie in the initial reports because he never informed them that he had HIV. Charlie denied on Today that he transmitted the disease to any of his former sexual partners, but he reportedly already has several lawsuits against him surrounding his condition…and frankly, the women still have the right to be angry at him for keeping such a big secret!
Since Charlie is known for having a pretty wild sex life, who knows how many more women will speak out about Charlie and his HIV positive diagnosis. But if and when Denise decides to say something, her initial reaction tells us that she probably won’t be nearly as angry as some of the other women!
