‘Dexter’ was a popular series that aired for 8 seasons on Showtime from 2006 to 2013. The series starred Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter analyst who moonlights as a vigilante serial killer. Jennifer Carpenter starred alongside Michael as Dexter’s foster sister, Debra Morgan. The show also starred Julie Benz, María LaGuerta, Angel Batista, and James Remar. Michael won two Golden Globes for his performance as Dexter. The show’s series finale was quite controversial and shocking. After Deb’s tragic death, Dexter faked his own death and started a new life as a lumberjack. Yes, a lumberjack. However, ‘Dexter’ is being revived in a 10-episode limited series. Michael and showrunner Clyde Phillips are returning.
