Dounia
Dounia may not be the biggest star in the entertainment industry, but that does not mean she has not been making some pretty big moves in the industry so far.
Today, she has already dropped two whole studio albums, Intro To (2017) and The Avant-Garden (2018). The Moroccan-American singer/songwriter primarily rose to prominence as a model and activist on Instagram (where she spoke out about feminism and body positivity), but proved to have many more fans when she stepped foot into the studio.
Some of her most streamed tracks on Spotify are “Avant-Garde,” “How I See It,” and “Rich Girl Mood” (all off her second studio album). The third track, which also happens to feature Kehlani, remains a fan-favorite today with a total of 3,441,358 streams.
She is also as out and proud as ever and makes music for the LGBTQ community. Singles like “So Cool” and “King Of Queens” shout out the community a little more explicitly in their music videos and lyrics.
Her latest project THE SCANDAL is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2019.
