Have you ever wanted to see Anna Kendrick, 31, in a Marvel movie? Well, that wish of yours might be coming true faster than you were hoping for! After sharing her interest in wanting to play Squirrel Girl if the opportunity ever arose, the internet has exploded with support for her to not only get the role, but get her own movie.

Not only did Anna reply to Edgar’s tweet, but they exchanged quite the conversation about what she would have to achieve as Squirrel Girl. When he demanded that she must “defeat” all seven superheroes listed in his original tweet, she immediately references the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which he directed and she co-starred in. This is just a suggestion, but maybe Edgar could direct the Squirrel Girl movie since he wasn’t able to do so with Ant-Man?

For those of you unfamiliar with Marvel’s Squirrel Girl, here’s a little background on the tiny hero. She was originally introduced into the Marvel world in 1992, and her backstory heavily connects her to Iron Man, Deadpool, and Dr. Doom. It would be really, really cool to see Anna playing Squirrel Girl on the big screen, so lets keep our fingers crossed that all of this support eventually gets her a shot at the role!
