From Her Young Days To The End – Hollywood Life

Dame Angela Lansbury will be remembered by generations. The English talent passed away at age 96 on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022. The star enjoyed a career that spanned over 8 decades, best known for her roles on Broadway, in the films The Manchurian Candidate and Beauty & The Beast, and the television show Murder, She Wrote.

Her family announced Angela’s death via a statement to NBC News. It said, “The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday.”

Angela was married twice: first to Richard Cromwell, then to Peter Shaw. They remained together for 54 years until his death in 2003. She was a stepmother to his son, David, from Peter’s prior marriage. They had two children of their own – Anthony Peter and Deirdre Ann.
