The Wiggles founding member Greg Page appears on ‘This Morning’ TV program in London on May 29, 2012. The children’s band formed in 1991 when Greg was studyin Early Childhood Education at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. At the time he was just 19-year-old. Along with Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Anthony Field, each member wore a differed color shirt, with Greg being the “Yellow Wiggle.” They became a worldwide sensation, entertaining children with their quirky yet educational song and dance routines. They sold over 30 million albums and toured throughout the world, performing for children and families. Greg was forced to retire from the band in 2006 when it was determined he was suffering from tthe difficult to diagnose chronic illness dysautonomia. He had problems standing up, and suffered from fainting spells and fatigue. His health improved enough to return to the band in 2012 for a tour, then all four members retired and a new lineup of Wiggles was put together in 2013 to keep the brand alive. Greg suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed at a Jan. 16 concert in Sydney for Australian bushfire relief. It was the first time the original members of the band had reunited to perform in several years. He was rushed the the hostpial where he had an operation and is recovering.
