“At first, Gwen blamed herself when she found out about Gavin and Mindy. She was full of regret that she somehow caused Gavin to have a wandering eye, that she could have somehow prevented the affair, that she never ever should have hired someone so young and cute,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“These thoughts tormented her for a long time. The could have, would have, should haves nearly destroyed her,” our insider continued. There were warning signs that Gavin and Mindy seemed to be more than just employer and employee. While Gavin and Mindy took the couple’s two oldest sons Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, hiking in Nov. 2012, Gavin was caught with his hand on the nanny’s butt! Gavin said he was trying “to keep her from falling,” according to US Weekly, but that may not be the case anymore. Though Mindy and Gavin’s alleged romance has been going on for 3 years, she has been reportedly working for both him and Gwen since 2008 helping care for the couple’s three sons.

At least Gwen has gone on to find happiness again with Blake, but the bombshell affair allegations still haunt her. “Her relationship with Blake has been a life saver,” a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She doesn’t know how she could have survived this without him.” As an eye-witness reported to us directly, the 39-year-old even comforted his crying girlfriend during a commercial break on The Voice Nov. 10 — the same day the affair allegations went public.
