‘Hightown’ is a new drama series that premieres May 17 on Starz. The show follows one woman’s journey to sobriety, which becomes overshadowed by an unfolding murder investigation that goes down on the idyllic Cape Cod. Jackie Quiñones is a reckless and hard-partying National Marine Fisheries Service agent whose life is turned upside down when she discovers a body on the beach. Jackie tries to get clean after that, but she soon finds herself wrapped up in solving the murder. She ends up at odds with sergeant Ray Abruzzo, a formidable member of the Cape Cod Interagency Narcotics Unit. Both Jackie and Ray start to spiral as they dig deeper into the investigation. The series stars Monica Raymund, Riley Voelkel, Shane Harper, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond, and Dohn Norwood. ‘Hightown’ was an Official Selection of the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.
