James Horner
James Horner, born August 14, 1953, was an award-winning composer. James started his career in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, before becoming an incredibly in-demande orchestrator in the decades that followed. He received a number of honors over his career, notably winning tow Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for the 1997 film ‘Titanic.’ He collaborated a number of times with director James Cameron.
Sadly, James passed away at the age of 61 on June 22, 2015 when his turboprop aircraft crashed into Los Padres National Forest. He was the only person on the aircraft.
