Jerry Weintraub
Jerry Weintraub, born September 26, 1937, was an American producer. Jerry worked on a number of film and TV projects, working with the likes of Frank Sinatra, The Carpenters, The Muppets, and so many more at the start of his decades-long career. In 1984, he produced the beloved film ‘The Karate Kid’ and its 1986 sequel and 1989 third installment.
He also worked with George Clooney and Brad Pitt when he produced the ‘Ocean’s’ films between 2001-2007. In 2013, he produced the miniseries ‘Behind The Candelabra’ and won his third Emmy Award. Jerry died at the age of 77 on July 6, 2015 after decades in the entertainment industry.
