Ella Bleu Travolta is so grown up! The 20-year-old — who is the spitting image of her dad John Travolta, 66 — took to Instagram to wish her 380,000 followers a very merry Christmas. “Before the night was over, I just wanted to say goodnight and Merry Christmas, and I hope you all have a beautiful day,” Ella said in the video. “I’m looking forward to the New Year with all of you,” she added. The brunette wore a black pajama set with white piping for the festive occasion, marking the first Travolta Christmas since mom Kelly Preston passed away in July. “Happy holidays,” Ella simply captioned her Dec. 25 post.
John also shared a sweet moment of Ella and son Benjamin, 10, opening gifts at home. “Say merry Christmas, Ella!” the Grease actor said as he filmed his only daughter, who waved for his followers in front of their lit-up Christmas tree. It looked like quite the Christmas morning with tons of gifts wrapped under the tree, including a whole new chocolate brown luggage set. John kept filming as he he reached Benjamin, who sat on a chair enjoying a sweet treat. “Say merry Christmas!” he prompted his son, who also greeted the camera. “Merry Christmas from the Travolta family!” John wrote alongside the short post.
It was so heartwarming to see the family spend quality time together over the holidays after Kelly lost her life to breast cancer in July at just 57 years old. News of her death came as a shock as Kelly’s diagnosis was never made public. Shortly after her death, Ella posted a beautiful tribute to her gorgeous mom. “I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful and loving as you,” she wrote in July. “Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy. Thank you for being there for me no matter what,” she also added. Ella’s brother Jett Travolta — the oldest child of Kelly and John — also passed away at just 16-years-old in Jan. 2009.
Recently, John celebrated Benjamin’s 10th birthday via social media. “Happy 10th birthday my wonderful Ben! I love you!” he captioned a cute photo of the pair hugging on his first double-digit birthday. Fans noticed just how much John’s youngest son is starting to resemble him in the comments. Ella also shared a tribute for her baby brother. “Happy Birthday Benjamin!!!! To the sweetest boy in the world, I am so lucky to have you in my life,” she posted. “Even though I am your older sister, you continue to teach me so much every day. You are my best friend and I love you to the moon and back,” she added with lots of heart emojis
