Stop with this pitting Julie Bowen, 44, and Modern Family cast mate Sofia Vergara, 46, against each other. After reports leaked suggesting Julie was icy to Sofia, the actress addressed the rumors on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Nov. 9, in the most epic way possible!

“Every now and again I get a call or you get an email that says, ‘Well, so and so trash mag will be running a story that you — and this week it was — are icy to Sofia Vergara because you’re jealous of her fame,'” Julie said of the absurd stories. And not only are the two not feuding, but Julie revealed she actually called her “friend” up and asked her for advice on how to shut down all the comments. “So I email her last night and then we talk and I’m like, ‘What should I say?’ because we’re friends. I’m like, ‘What should I say? You’re funny,'” she continued.

And in the most spot-on Sofia impersonation, Julie relayed Sofia’s answer, “‘please, just borrow my blouse.'” “So, I’m borrowing her blouse,” Julie added, modeling Sofia’s off-the-should, purple blouse! OMG, that is pure gold! What better way to shut down the chatter by simply swapping clothes!
Ellen, 58, applauded her talk-show guest before noting that most of the stories being put out today are “totally fabricated.” “Well, you know it kept one of our candidates up there for a long time,” Julie chimed in, possibly taking a jab at Donald Trump, 70. “I’m not going to name names, but you don’t have to have the truth anymore. You just have to have the internet. You can just make up anything.” Unfortunately, the rumor mill will most likely continue to turn. But we’re so glad there’s no truth to the ones about Julie and Sofia!
