He claimed that they poured bleach on him, put a noose around his neck and told him ‘This is MAGA country.’ Ultimately two Nigerian brothers — one of who was Jussie’s personal trainer and an extra on ‘Empire’ — confessed to police that Jussie paid the $3,500 to stage the attack, which police later said was motivated by a desire to getting a pay raise on ‘Empire.’ In a completely unexpected move, Cook County State Attorney’s Office on March 26 dropped all charges against Jussie with little explanation That move deeply angered Chicago’s police chief and mayor.
