Larsa Pippen and Kim Kardashian used to be BFF’s, with the 46-year-old getting invited to all of the best Kar-Jenner parties and vacation getaways. But that came to a halt in the summer of 2020 when Kim and sister Kourtney, 41, unfollowed Larsa on social media and their friendship appeared to be over. Now that there are reports that Kim, 40, has hired an attorney in preparation to divorce husband Kanye West, 43, Larsa isn’t getting involved with any of the Kimye’s relationship business.
“Larsa plans on staying in her own lane and staying out of other people’s drama in 2021. She’s been too busy working on her Larsa Marie jewelry line, spending time with friends and family, and she isn’t focused on other people’s lives,” a source close to Larsa tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Kim and Kanye’s relationship has nothing to with her and she’s making a point to mind her own business,” our insider continues. Larsa said her peace about why she thought their friendship ended during a Nov. 9 Hollywood Raw podcast, where she claimed that Yeezy felt “threatened” by her. “If your husband feels, like, threatened by my relationship with you, then I don’t want to be that person,” the mother of four explained. Larsa even went as far as to claim Kanye “brainwashed” Kim and the Kardashian-Jenner family against her.
“Larsa said what she wanted to during her interview on the Hollywood Raw podcast a few months ago, but that’s the last she plans on discussing anything related to their family anytime soon. She’s moved on and is living her best life,” our source adds.
Larsa and Kim used to make for quite a social team, heading out on glamorous ladies nights out in Miami and Los Angeles. She even made appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. But now Larsa’s building a sweet life of her own in Miami that doesn’t include a Kardashian anywhere in sight. Larsa’s also made big news with her love life, dating much younger NBA player Malik Beasley, 24, despite him having an estranged wife.
”Larsa wants to start riding her own coattails instead of focusing her attention on what Kim and Kanye do. Sure she will know what happens if they decide to divorce like everyone else and she has her own personal feelings on it all. But she would rather focus on her life than to be a footnote on the Kardashian legacy,” a second Larsa insider tells us EXCLUSIVELY.
As we previously reported EXCLUSIVELY, the Kardashians were furious with Larsa’s betrayal, as she was once so deep inside their inner circle. “The family is definitely disappointed and angry Larsa would share what she did in the interview, but not really surprised because they feel like Larsa is just using them to further her career at this point,” adding that “Larsa and Kim especially were extremely close, so it’s sad a friend would do this to a friend.”
