Lee competed against 100 other contestants on Season 2 of ‘Produce 101,’ and came in third place in the finale! His success on the reality competition show landed him a spot in the boy band Wanna One, which debuted in Aug. 2017. The 11-member group put forth tracks like ‘Energentic,’ ‘Beautiful,’ ‘I Promise You (I.P.U.),’ ‘Boomerang,’ ‘Light’ and ‘Spring Breeze.’ Sadly, the group disbanded after a short run in Dec. 2018, and held its last concert the following month.
Wanna One’s contract may have ended, but Lee didn’t let that stop his music career. He found success in a new group, AB6IX, in which he remains today! It’s a brand-new band, as the six members just made their debut in May 2019. Outside of performing, Lee also serves as a co-host alongside model Han Hyun-min on the music program ‘M Countdown.’
