Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Saoirse Ronan, and Eliza Scanlen star in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Little Women.’ The remake is the eighth film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 classic novel of the same name. The four talented actresses play the March sisters — Meg, Amy, Jo, and Beth — as they come of age in post-Civil War America. The movie also stars Timothee Chalamet as Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, Meryl Streep as Aunt March, James Norton as John Brooke, Louis Garrel as Friedrich Bhaer, and Bob Odenkirk
as Mr. March. This is the second project Greta has worked on with Saoirse and Timothee. The latter starred in Greta’s critically-acclaimed 2017 film ‘Lady Bird,’ which earned Saoirse an Oscar nomination. Emma Stone was initially supposed to play Meg March, but she had to drop out due to prior commitments. ‘Little Women’ will be released in theaters on Dec. 25.
