Meghan Markle adorably teased Prince Harry at the end of an audio clip announcing upcoming podcasts they'll host as part of their brand new deal between Spotify and their production company, Archewell Audio.
Meghan Markle, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, showed off a bit of cute couple banter when they revealed they’ll soon be serving as podcast hosts in future podcast episodes, during an introduction audio clip on Spotify. The podcasts will be part of a “multi-year partnership” between the popular streaming platform and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s newly formed production company Archewell Audio. In the two-minute clip, the husband and wife welcome listeners and talk about what they can expect from the upcoming episodes before it gets to the very end and Meghan teasingly says, “No, he has a podcast voice!” after Harry confidently says, “And welcome to Archewell Audio.”
In addition to the end of the clip, Meghan brought up Harry’s voice, specifically his accent, at the very beginning. “Should we start? Ladies first,” he said before the former Suits star told him to go ahead. “No, say it cause I think it sounds really nice with your accent,” she said before he stumbled a bit and said, “Archewell Audio.”
They went on to introduce themselves as “Harry” and “Meghan” and talked about the exciting “holiday special” podcast episode that they’ll be releasing later this month. “We’re talking to some amazing people,” Meghan explained. “They’re going to share their memories that really shape this past year, which has been, as we know, a difficult one for everyone.”
Harry continued, “So many people have been through so much pain this year, experiencing loss, a huge amount of uncertainty — but it feels worth acknowledging that 2020 has connected us in ways we have never imagined through endless acts of compassion and kindness.”
In addition to the introduction clip, Meghan and Harry released a joint statement about the Spotify deal. “What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction,” they said in the statement. “With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other’s stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are.”
