Michelle Obama, 53, just gave us major FOMO while stepping out in Miami looking nothing short of chic. The former First Lady treaded barefoot through the sand as she rocked a white triangle bikini top, matching ripped cut-off shorts and a sheer blouse. Can we ditch this winter weather and go join her?! Michelle wore the casual look while walking off of Miami Beach on Jan. 13 surrounded by friends, Secret Service personnel, and her 19-year-old daughter Malia. It’s rare to see Michelle wearing something this laid-back, but we’re honestly so here for it! She looked comfortable and relaxed, which is definitely well-deserved after spending eight years in the White House by Barack Obama‘s side (who, btw, was unfortunately missing from the beach outing). We’re also super excited to see her spending time with her daughter. Malia just finished her first semester at Harvard University, and it looks like their family vacation lined up perfectly with her winter break.
It definitely seems like the teen’s parents have missed her while she was away at school. In a recent interview, Obama opened up about what it was like dropping his oldest daughter off at college back in August. “I held it together in front of Malia and then we drove away,” he told David Letterman in the premiere episode of Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. “Secret Service is in the front, and they’re just looking ahead. They’re pretending they can’t see me in the back sniffling. But the ritual of it was powerful.” Aww! We’re glad the former first family has been able to reunite, even if Obama and his other daughter Sasha didn’t make it onto the beach.
