Poor Ananda! The iconic “Purple Rain” singer’s ex-girlfriend could barely contain her sorrow on April 21, after learning that her former lover had tragically and suddenly passed away, and it sounds like she still had so much unfinished business with him. She shared a beautiful message in his honor on Twitter, saying “So many amazing memories, loving advice..so much I still needed to say to you. My heart is lead. #RIP Prince.”
Ananda was an up and coming MTV VJ in the late 90s, until 2001 when she went on to have her own syndicated talk show called The Ananda Lewis Show. Around this same time is when she and Prince allegedly had their fling. Though it may have been short, Ananda clearly took a lot away from her time with the icon.
Ananda isn’t the only ex-lover struggling with the loss of the legendary singer. Madonna also took to Instagram to say “He Changed The World!! A True Visionary. What a loss. I’m Devastated. This is Not A Love Song.”

The singer was shockingly reported to be dead on April 21, by TMZ, who later reported that he was found in the elevator of his home, deceased. Just days before, his plane was forced to make an emergency landing to get him medical help, which he later blamed on the flu.
