Naya Rivera is an actress and singer best known for playing Santana Lopez in the hit FOX series ‘Glee’ from 2009 to 2015. Throughout her time on ‘Glee,’ Naya performed a number of iconic covers of songs like ‘Valerie,’ ‘Smooth Criminal,’ the ‘Rumor Has It’/’Someone Like You’ mash-up, and more. Naya’s solo single ‘Sorry’ was released in 2013 and featured her ex-boyfriend Big Sean. The actress has played Collette Jones in the TV series ‘Step Up: High Water’ since 2018. Naya and Big Sean started dating in April 2013 and were engaged in Oct. 2013. They broke up in April 2014. Naya soon began dating actor Ryan Dorsey, and they were married on July 19, 2014. They welcomed their first child, a son named Josey, in 2015. Naya and Ryan’s relationship officially came to an end in 2018 when their divorce was finalized. On July 9, 2020, Naya was reported missing after going boating on Lake Piru in California. Naya’s son was found safely onboard the boat.
Sadly, days later, police confirmed that they had found a body and ‘are confident the body we found was Naya Rivera.’ She was 33 when she died.
