Team Stephen A’s Quavo, left, is defended by Team Wilbon’s Common, right, during the first half of an NBA Celebrity All-Star basketball game Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, in Chicago. It’s the one night where the stars from music, movies, television, and other sports get to throw on a jersey, lace up their Nikes, and live out their basketball fantasies. It’s the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, the official kickoff to the NBA All-Star Weekend. Each year, since 2003, the All-Star Celebrity Game has put together actors, rappers, singers, politicians, comedians, social media personalities, WNBA stars and retired NBA legends on the court at the same time. The 2020 All-Star Celebrity game, taking place in Chicago, will see some Windy City natives go head-to-head. Chance The Rapper, Hannibal Burress, Common, and more will try to take home the MVP trophy while competing for a good cause. Ruffles (the Official Chip of the NBA) sponsors the NBA All-Star Celebrity game and for every shot made from THE RIDGE (aka the ‘4-point line’) the chip brand will donate $4,000 to the Special Olympics, with a minimum donation of $40,000. So, your favorite stars get to be ballers FOR a good cause. What’s better than that?
