NYC Pride March & Celebrations
Every June, the LGBTQ+community comes together around the world, to celebrate what it means to be out and proud. Perhaps nowhere on Earth, however, celebrates Pride month bigger and with more, well, PRIDE, than New York City. Indeed, Manhattan has become the gold standard for celebrations for those who are out and proud, and in 2019, the festivities went to a whole new level.
Along with the iconic March that weaves its wave through the city on Sunday, June 28th, there will be a rally on Friday, June 28th, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. The June 28, 1969, when a police raid at the Stonewall led to demonstrations and resistance, and launched the modern gay-rights movement, and so thousands came out on Christopher Street and Waverly Place to recognize the pivotal moment in the shared history. Check out the gallery to see pics from that rally, as well as celebrities who came out this year for the parade.
