As an Olympic champ, Gabby Douglas, 20, has her workout and diet routine all figured out. But the lifelong athlete shared some of her at-home fitness and diet tricks that she credits for her success — and, they happen to be incredibly easy to copy.

In her interview with Gillette Venus, which Gabby revealed she’ll be packing with her for smooth legs in Rio, the gymnast shared that she starts every day off with a workout. But if you’re not training for the Olympics, Gabby said that squats are her favorite leg-toning exercise. To really make the most of them, Gabby says to place your hands on your head, bend into a deep squat and add a hop on the way up to your starting position. For the full benefits, she says to do three sets of 10-20 reps.

Of course, Gabby also relies on a healthy diet to keep her body in top shape. To start her day, she has either oatmeal or organic cereal for breakfast, trading out coffee for tea. Her go-to recipe comes from her grandmother and is a simple red berry tea with a splash of lemon, honey and apple cider vinegar.

For lunch, her favorite option is a protein-heavy salad of kale, spinach, red leaf lettuce, egg, avocado, tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted chicken and honey mustard dressing. But since Gabby admits to having a sweet tooth, she satisfies her cravings while boosting her energy by dipping almonds into melted dark chocolate.
