Paulina Porizkova is a model, actress and author. She was born in Czechoslovakia, but now holds dual U.S. and Swedish citizenship and resides in NYC. At 18 years old, in 1984, she became the first woman from Central Europe to be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and went on to be featured on the swimsuit issue’s front cover consecutive times (1984 and 1985). Paulina was the second woman to ever do this, after Christie Brinkley. She went to be named one of the ten most beautiful women by ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ in 1992, and covered ‘Vogue’, ‘Glamour’, ‘Cosmopolitan’, ‘Self’ and ‘Elle.’
Most recently, Paulina returned to the pages of ‘Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Issue’ in 2018 and 2019. HollywoodLife had the opportunity to have Paulina in our New York City studio for an exclusive shoot, and you can see the gorgeous photos by scrolling through the gallery!

In 1989, Paulina Porizkova married The Cars lead singer, Ric Ocasek, after the two met on-set of the music video for the song ‘Drive.’ Although they separated in 2017, Paulina was the one who found Ric when he died in 2019.
