Riverdale aired its first episode on The CW on January 26, 2017, and became a global phenomenon. The series catapulted the show’s stars — KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, Vanessa Morgan, Casey Cott, Charles Melton, and Cole Sprouse — to stardom. Riverdale’s fans have rallied around these characters and chosen sides when it comes to Barchie, Varchie, Bughead, and more.
From on and off-set relationships to tragic deaths, the show’s cast has gone through so much. The cast was devastated by the sudden death of Luke Perry, who played Fred Andrews, Archie’s dad. Luke died in 2019 after suffering a stroke.
