Sara Haines is an American television host and journalist from Newton, Iowa. She is known for her work as a correspondent on ‘Today’, ‘ABC News’ and ‘Good Morning America’. She was a co-host of ‘The View’ for seasons 20 and 21, before she moved to the third hour of ‘Good Morning America’, to co-anchor ‘Strahan and Sara’, a daytime talk show alongside Michael Strahan. She attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government in 2000. Sara married Max Shifrin, a lawyer on November 22, 2014, in The Bahamas. They welcomed their first child, a son named Alec Richard on March 5, 2016. On the June 20, 2017, episode of The View, Sara announced that the couple was expecting their second child, a daughter. Sandra Grace was born in December of that same year. The couple’s third child, a boy named Caleb Joseph was born on June 26, 2019. The family currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
