Kumail Nanjiani is a comedian and actor best known for his roles in Silicon Valley and The Big Sick, which he also co-wrote with his wife, Emily V. Gordon. The Big Sick, which was nominated for the Best Original Screenplay award at the 2018 Academy Awards, is based on the beginnings of their relationship, and starred Kumail as himself (the couple married in 2007). Kumail recently played an alien in Men in Black: International, and will play a hero in Marvel’s next big team-up movie, Eternals, alongside Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek.
