Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, more popularly known as Chance the Rapper, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and activist.
He gained many, many fans when he dropped his second mixtape Acid Rap on April 30, 2013. The free digital download became a fan-favorite in no time and by July 2013, the album had debuted at number 63 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop charts. It was being played everywhere… on iTunes… on Amazon! It inevitably became one of the 50 best albums of 2013! As a matter of fact, Acid Rap was ranked the 26th best album by Rolling Stone, the 12th by Pitchfork, and the 4th by Complex.
His third mixtape, Coloring Book, which he released on May 13, 2016 was even more wildly successful, as he went on to win various awards, such as three Grammy Awards. It also topped the charts as number eight on the Billboard 200!
