In Beverly Hills on September 30, stars stepped out in their best evening wear for ‘Variety’s 2021 Power of Women, an event that celebrates female trailblazers, artists, poets, and more for their philanthropic endeavors outside of their mediums. The honorees included actress Rita Moreno, singers Katy Perry and Lorde, poet Amanda Gorman (photographed here with presenter Angelina Jolie and her daughter Zahara), and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Studios Channing Dungey.
It was a star-studded affair to honor, for lack of a better phrase, the sheer power of women. Ava DuVernay, Gayle King, Gloria Calderón Kellett, and Hunter Schafer were among the presenters for the evening. Attendees included Justina Machado, Tia Mowry, Jenna Dewan, Kelly Hu, Chelsea Peretti, and Alyssa Milano, among others.
