Daniel Gillies and Rachel Leigh Cook arrive at the LA Premiere of ‘Max’ at the Egyptian Theatre, in Los Angeles, CA. Rachael wore a red outfit while Daniel wore a leather jacket over a hooded shirt and a baseball cap.
Rachael and Daniel, both actors, started dating in 2001 and got married in 2004. They had their first child, daughter, Charlotte Easton Gillies, in Sept. 2013 and a son, Theodore Vigo Gillies, in Apr. 2015. They shocked many of their fans when they took to Instagram on June 13 to post a joint message announcing their split. In the message, they expressed their sadness and asked for discretion for the sake of their children.
‘With deep gratitude for every year we have spent together and the thousands of beautiful memories shared, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple’, the message read. ‘This decision isn’t one we have come to easily or lightly. We love and respect each other as parents, people and artists and look forward to maintaining the best parts of our relationship for many years to come.’
