We never thought we would see the day that Carmelo Anthony, 32, and La La Anthony, 37, called it quits, but unfortunately that day ended up being April 17, when TMZ revealed that the duo has separated after 7 years of marriage.

The basketball star and the actress met when DJ Clue introduced them in 2003 because he thought they would be a good match and Carmelo was crushing on her. Their first date was over-the-top, of course. La La was shooting in Long Beach, CA, and Carmelo took a flight over just to visit and take her to dinner. So cute!
Though the duo was just friends at first, it quickly evolved into a passionate love affair. Carmelo finally proposed over Christmas in 2004. The duo got married 6 years later in 2010. La La has since earned the title of the most loyal basketball wife ever, always supporting Carmelo from the sidelines at the New York Knicks games and taking care of their 10-year-old son Kiyan Carmelo Anthony.

Unfortunately, after all those years the stress allegedly became too much after rumors began to spread that Carmelo was going to get traded away from New York. Though the couple has yet to file divorce papers, they are split and living in different homes.
