Season 36 of MTV’s hit show, ‘The Challenge,’ premiered in Dec. 2020. The season was called ‘The Challenge: Double Agents,’ and featured players from ‘The Real World, ‘Are You The One?’ ‘Survivor,’ ‘Big Brother’ and more. On the first day of the season, players were tasked with choosing a partner of the opposite sex on the spot. However, in a classic game of backstabbing and betrayal, they were able to choose new partners following elimination wins. This concept changed the game in a big way each and every episode. Like season 35, the players could only qualify to run the final challenge if they won an elimination and earned a gold skull during the season. This time, though, there were only 10 skulls available — five for the men and five for the women.
