Blake is best known as a country singer and coach on the music competition show, ‘The Voice’ since 2011. He released his debut single ‘Austin’ in 2001 from his self-titled debut album and the song spent five weeks in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. He went on to record several more albums, including ‘The Dreamer’ in 2003 and ‘Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill’ in 2004, and had charted 40 singles, including 27 number ones by May 2020.
In addition to his work on ‘The Voice’, the talented musician has served as a judge on other competition shows like ‘Nashville Star’ and ‘Clash of the Choirs.’
He’s originally from Oklahoma and began singing at an early age. He learned how to play guitar from his uncle and wrote his first song when he was just 15.
