Mario Lopez smiled for a ‘Saved By The Bell’ photoshoot. He played the role of A.C. Slater on the show. ‘Saved By The Bell’ aired from 1989 to 1993, and was a much-loved sitcom by many. Due to the success of the show, it had a spin-off show with new character called ‘Saved By The Bell: The New Class,’ which aired from 1993 to 2000. The original show had two movie spin-offs, too, including ‘Saved By The Bell: Hawaiian Style,’ in 1992, and ‘Saved By The Bell: Wedding’ in Las Vegas in 1994. The original show’s cast of characters has gone onto have their own successful careers, with standout star Mario Lopez transitioning into entertainment journalism in addition to acting. When asked about a potential spin-off in the future, Mario EXCLUSIVELY told HL, “I’ve got a lot on my plate, but I’d never be opposed to something if it was smart and cool, you know?” Mario said. “Obviously, we can’t go back to high school, right? We’re too old for that, so if my kids were older, then it’d be kind of fun.” He continued, “Right now, it’d have to be Saved By the Bell: The Elementary School Years.”
